Frequently Asked Questions

Therapy provides a dedicated, neutral space to process life's challenges, gain fresh perspective, and build practical tools for emotional and spiritual health. Whether you are navigating a specific crisis, wrestling with anxiety or grief, working through relationship difficulties, or simply seeking personal growth, therapy can help you uncover root causes, develop healthy coping strategies, and move toward lasting healing.

Getting started is simple. You can call our confidential intake line at 615-690-4661. Our office hours are Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm with limited hours on Fridays. Some therapists offer extended hours. If you call during ot outside of these hours and reach our voicemail, please leave a message and we will return your call within 24 hours. Messages left on Thursdays will be returned the following Monday. Our intake coordinator will reach out to discuss your needs, answer any remaining questions, and help match you with the counselor best suited for you.

Not at all. While our center is housed within the church and our counselors operate from a Christian worldview, we welcome anyone seeking care regardless of religious background, beliefs, or church affiliation—including those with no faith affiliation. You will be met with warmth, respect, and compassion right where you are. Although our therapists are informed by their Christian faith, your faith will only be integrated into your counseling upon request.

Your first session is all about getting comfortable and starting the conversation. We’ll take time to hear what brings you in, learn a bit about your background, and discuss what you hope to gain from counseling. It’s a low-pressure environment where you can ask questions and decide together how to move forward.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes. You and your therapist will decide what schedule works best for you. Sessions can be spaced out weekly, biweekly, or monthly; this is tailored to your unique needs, schedule, and goals. Some therapists offer extended sessions at a higher rate.

Yes, all of our counselors offer virtual appointments through secure telehealth sessions throughout Tennessee. Some of our counselors offer telehealth in Texas and Florida.

We welcome clients starting as young as 3 years old through adulthood. Whether you're seeking support for a young child, a teenager, or yourself, our team is equipped to walk alongside your family.

Each of our counselors upholds our statement of faith, affirming our core beliefs. While all are mental health professionals committed to ethical practice, their personal values are grounded in the Christian faith. This means that while no beliefs are imposed on clients, our counselors’ faith influences the compassion, integrity, and care with which they serve.

We operate as a self-pay clinic and so we do not bill insurance directly. However, your plan may still reimburse a portion of your session fees. We encourage you to contact your insurance provider to ask about your out-of-network mental health coverage. We can help by providing you with the documentation you need to submit a claim for reimbursement.

Yes, in accordance with the No Surprises Act, we provide Good Faith Estimates upon request. The No Surprises Act requires healthcare providers and facilities to provide Good Faith Estimates to uninsured, out-of-network, or self-paying clients for services offered when scheduling care or when the client requests an estimate.

Before your first appointment, you’ll receive two emails from us. One provides a quick overview of our building's security system, and the other includes your unique 4-digit door code. This code will remain the same and you can use it for every visit.
